Heads up, the world’s biggest book fair is set to return to Manila on Feb. 14 to 24. Held at the World Trade Center in Pasay, this year’s Big Bad Wolf Book Sale will be running for 24 hours for every day of the fair. As always, admission is free.
The Malaysian book fair is known for its incredibly good bargains, with books discounted for 50 to 90 percent off. Co-founders Jacqueline Ng and Andrew Yap explained last year that their advocacy is to sell books to encourage reading, not to gain profit. They have a wide range, too, spanning genres like science fiction, young adult, crime thrillers, self-help, and design.
Through partner organization Gawad Kalinga, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale will also be pledging support to people affected by the recent Taal Volcano eruption.
