The closest thing you can get from traveling without going through the tedious process is eating a cuisine that’s different from you country’s in the comfort of your neighborhood. For a cheaper experience, cook dishes yourself using ingredients from, say, the Indian grocery store nearby. For an even economical trip, try their snacks.
Earlier this week, photographer and content strategist Tammy David shared on her Instagram account a new Chinese grocery store in Makati. Shrimp Master Life Market, which can be found along San Agustin, has snacks that she calls “Mainland snacks.”
Here are some interesting items that you can get to take your snacking to a new level:
More individually wrapped preserved meat
Hand-weaved vegetarian meat roll
Candied Chinese hawthorn fruit
Dried fish slice
Bonus: Booze that feature memes
