Being able to attend a lecture by an esteemed professor is probably one of the highlights during college. A post-grad life, however, doesn’t give us as many venues (or incentives) to enrich ourselves in this manner, and the thought of going back to school suddenly seems so appealing. Luckily for us, we can be a student again—at least, for an evening.
As part of De La Salle College of Saint Benilde’s revised curriculum for its Art Management course, they will be offering a new subject which was written and produced by journalist, poet, musician, and activist Lourd de Veyra, along with the founding editor of Esquire magazine, Erwin Romulo. Called A History of Ideas, this multimedia presentation aims to do an analysis of our past; it studies our culture from a historical perspective and aims to bring these ideas to current times.
Luckily for us non-students, this lecture will be open to sit-ins i.e. the public on Aug. 4, Saturday at 6:00 p.m. If you’re interested in going back to school, send an email to [email protected] or text to 0955-5631368 or 0917-5638926. Tickets are P500 per person.
