Another food and drink business bites the dust this quarantine. After three years of operations, Polilya, a popular bar and party hub in Poblacion, Makati is shutting down. The bar opened last week to receive customers yet again. Unexpectedly, that was the last time it opened its doors.

Their management posted a statement on their closure on their Instagram account. It reads:
“Polilya is closing its doors. This was an extremely hard and sad decision for us to make. What we’ve created over the past three years is a labor of love. Throughout this time you, our loyal customers, have become a part of the Polilya family. Our wonderful staff worked hard these past few weeks to make a safe space and it was wonderful to have you back, even just for a week.”
“We want to thank our staff for all of their time and love that they put into Polilya. You are the heart and soul of Polilya. Thank you loyal customers for your continuous support, especially during these hard times. It has been an incredible run and we feel so lucky to have met all of you! The near future is uncertain but we hope to see you again somewhere down the road.”
The management did not state if there would be any future plans after this closure.
