With quarantine measures still in place, mobility and access to essential goods remain complicated. Though we have been seeing food establishments reopening for delivery, you might also be wondering about transportation of other essentials like groceries, medicine and important parcels.
Here’s a list of couriers still offering services.
Mr. Speedy

Mr. Speedy is a fairly new courier service from Thailand that was launched in the Philippines last year. Priding itself as the “cheapest same-day delivery service in Manila,” they provide delivery services at a P6 per kilometer rate in Metro Manila. You can either have your parcels delivered via a motorbike or an automobile sedan (which comes with the option of selecting various locations for one booking so you can cut the transaction’s cost).
What’s more is that you can schedule a delivery at the exact time the package you’re sending needs to be delivered. You can book through their website, via mobile or via their Instagram direct messages.
MyKuya

Before the lockdown MyKuya offered not only offered delivery services but also cleaning, pest-control and personal assistant bookings.
Under the ECQ though, you can still hire their “ates and kuyas” (their trained personnel) to shop for your essential goods and deliver them to you as well as run the errand of paying your bills. The MyKuya application also features a simple booking system for grocery shopping and delivery.
Transportify

Transportify is a full-service logistics company and mobile application which allows people and different businesses to book and manage ground transportation of goods, cargo and merchandise, among others.
Despite the pandemic, they have remained fully operational as they connect businesses to drivers with vehicles to provide safe and affordable transportation services anywhere in Mega Manila, Pampanga and selected surrounding areas. They have also been helping the Office of the Vice-President’s PPE distributions in different hospitals.
Lalamove

With over a thousand riders and drivers employed, the trademark orange delivery bikes of Lalamove have easily become a go-to courier even before the quarantine was implemented. With quarantine measures in place, however, they have since limited their delivery services to only accommodate deliveries of essentials such as food, groceries and water to selected areas. You can book one of their drivers to buy food or groceries via their purchase service app feature.
Furthermore, in an effort to promote physical distancing and contactless delivery, the logistics company is encouraging their customers to opt for their e-cash features and to maintain a one-meter distance whenever you’re picking up a parcel. You can download their mobile app via the app store or Google Play.
Angkas

Most of Angkas’ riders are now still able to push through with their livelihood through Angkas Padala by delivering parcels and essential goods. You can also order meals at their partner restaurants (see their instructions directory here). The process of booking is the same way as before but you do need to put the delivery details (recipient’s name and address) in the notes section for your rider’s reference.
If you wish to donate PPEs to hospitals, you can fill out this form as Angkas is also offering to help deliver them for you. Angkas is also doing relief operations for their riders who are unable to continue working amid the pandemic.
GrabExpress

Despite not being able to continue their ride-hailing services, Grab Philippines’ GrabExpress still has a lot to offer amid the quarantine. Via GrabExpress Finds, you can shop for essential goods like fruits, vegetables, canned goods as well as facemasks and disinfecting alcohol. If you are a seller, you can also register to be included in their directory and avail of logistics discounts.
To aid Grab riders who are risking their lives by working on the frontlines, Grab has also put up a contactless system for tipping their riders with amounts ranging from
