Whoever said, “the way to a person’s heart is through their stomach” clearly never finished a good book. If you don’t have any plans this Valentine’s Day (single or not), celebrate at this book fair instead.
The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale, dubbed as the world’s largest book sale, is coming to Manila on Feb. 16. Drown in over two million titles across different genres, including fiction and non-fiction bestsellers, young adult fiction, children’s books and more. Plus, all of the books have discounts ranging from 60 to 80 percent off.
The 24-hour book sale is the brainchild of BookXcess founders Andrew Yap and Jacqueline Ng and has been a trademark event in Malaysia since 2009. The event has expanded to different cities in Indonesia, Thailand, and Sri Lanka, then finally in the Philippines.
“Big Bad Wolf wants to do its part in improving literacy by making it accessible and affordable for people to buy books,” said Miguel Mercado, Big Bad Wolf’s marketing head.
The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale is starting on Feb. 16 at 9 a.m. until Feb. 26 at 11:59 p.m. at the World Trade Center, Pasay City.
