Periodically, we would see a wild throwback post on our Facebook feed. And we’d pause scrolling through the social networking app to relive the “good ‘ol days” even for a spell because we love to get high on nostalgia.
Don’t worry, though; that’s normal. Facebook page Filipino Community posted a month ago a video of Makati in 1993 and it now has over 450,000 views, almost 5,000 likes, and over 800 comments.
“How nostalgic. I miss my lolo and lola. We used to drive on these roads every day to my lola’s office at IBM Makati… Time flies really fast,” one comment reads. “Nakakabata!” a user comments with a heart-shaped eyes emoji. “P250 full tank na!”
It’s a video that’s comparable to a dashboard camera recorded clip today. But of course during that day, the recorder was randomly shooting with a video camera (which was a luxury). Take a stroll with them.
