Exceptions to the travel ban are Batanes residents and employees, or people who require entry to Batanes to address issues of national interest or fulfill a lawful obligation. People who are allowed entry, however, will be subjected to quarantine procedures and health protocols by the Department of Health.
Residents and people who wish to enter Batanes are advised to bring their proof of residency, which include their voter’s ID, barangay certification or any government-issued IDs. Employees who work in Batanes are advised to bring their company ID or a travel order as proof of their employment in the province. Everyone is also advised to bring documents showing their medical profiles and recent travel history.
The local government also discouraged senior citizens, pregnant women or people who don’t need urgent care or are diagnosed with non-communicable diseases from traveling outside of Batanes.
