Imagine relaxing in a place with a great view of lush greens as you eat sumptuous food. Mmhmm, that’s heaven for most plantitos and plantitas out there. Merely being surrounded by plants and basking in a nature setting is known to benefit our mental health, so imagine how much of a mood booster it would be to have comfort food added to the scene as well.
This is probably why several restaurants have chosen to provide scenic garden views for ambiance. From opening outdoor gazebos to having indoor plants for interiors, these dining places have different ways to showcase the beauty of nature. But this café in Tagaytay is here to outdo them all—by letting you dine inside a greenhouse itself.
Imagine surrounding yourself with the rarest plants from different parts of the Philippines and Asia while having a cup of hot Latté Macchiato.
Eat. Breathe. Relax

Yes, you read that right. Greenhouse Café Tagaytay is an actual greenhouse which opened its doors as a café last October. It houses more than 60 varieties of rare plants from different parts of the country and Asia. Should you spot a plant that you like, you can also ask the café’s staff if it’s for sale—because most of the flora in the greenhouse actually are. An instant plantito/plantita take-home treat, isn’t it?
As for the food, Greenhouse Café Tagaytay offers a variety of soup, salad, pasta, rice meals, sandwiches, coffee, and desserts at affordable prices. And by that, we mean most items in the menu range from P160 to P290. The city’s signature dish—the original bulalo—is also available for P610.
The café is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Due to quarantine measures, it can accommodate only 20 persons at maximum capacity, on a first come, first served basis.
Greenhouse Café Tagaytay is located in Casa Celina Tagaytay at Enrile St., Tagaytay, Cavite. For inquiries and table reservations, call 0918-6969976.
