If you are one of those people who take the long commute from your home in the provinces to your work in the metro, here’s a piece of good news: The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is opening 28 new Premium Point-to-Point (P2P) bus service routes this year.
Through the Memorandum Circular 2019-010 signed last week, LTFRB has effectively started accepting applications from franchise applicants to cover the following routes:
Angat, Bulacan to North EDSA, Quezon City
Route length: approximately 59.5 km.

Angat, Bulacan to Lawton (with special stop at Tutuban)

Through the memorandum, LTFRB has set out agreements and qualifications for applications who will be awarded one package of two-three routes, including that all units be delivered in a span of nine months.
The popularity of P2P buses among commuters surged in the last few years because it is seen as an alternative to combat long, and not to mention, hellish transport conditions. Premium P2P buses boast of its cushioned reclining chairs, free wifi, and entertainment pads (on some units).
