In order to minimize the risk of further COVID-19 infections, casual dining chain operator Max’s Group Inc. (MGI) announced that they will be suspending operations for the time being. Prior to this announcement, their stores in Luzon were operational for take-out and delivery options.

Aside from Max’s Restaurant, brands like Pancake House, Yellow Cab Pizza, Sizzlin’ Steak and other brands under the group will be closed until the end of the enhanced community quarantine period.
According to Miren Cueto, MGI’s investor relations and compliance manager, operations have been suspended in order to protect the safety of their team members and partners. “At present, the current environment requires us to do our part in flattening the curve and helping the country to reduce the risk of this virus spreading further,” Cueto shared with Inquirer.
Cueto also explained that while they have not encountered restrictions on supplies, the quarantine has posed limitations on their company’s manpower.
