Yesterday, May 12, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced the status of cities and provinces that have been declared as either low-risk or high-risk areas, with some already lifting community quarantine by May 15 and others placed under general community quarantine (GCQ), modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) and enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
According to the Inter-Agency Task Force Resolution No. 35 recently approved by President Rodrigo Duterte, areas placed under MECQ will only allow for limited movement within zones for obtaining essential services and work. Additionally, up to 50 percent of industries can resume operations with safety protocols in place and others can deploy only 40 percent of workers on-site.
