If you’re a lover of all things Muji, the brand has big surprises in store for you. Muji will be opening its biggest store in the country and introducing specialty products and services. Here are a few things you can expect when the brand opens its 1,400 sqm. Shangri-La Plaza branch very soon.
Muji advisors
If you’re trying to achieve the Muji look, the brand is here to provide some extra assistance. The new Muji store will be offering consultations for customers through its interior, styling, and experience advisors.
These advisors can help you decorate your home, pick out clothes, and offer advice on the best way to use experience products. Aside from being free of charge, this unique service will be catered to your individual needs and lifestyle so as to maximize the brand’s role in your life.
Among the services Muji advisors offer are furniture and design consultation, styling coordination, and product recommendations.
Muji’s unisex clothing line: Labo
Muji has been known for its classic and simple silhouettes, but its latest clothing line “Labo” takes it a step further.
“Muji Labo is a laboratory for the concept of distance from excessive fashion. [The brand] wanted to create a clothing line that gives a feeling that it can be worn by anyone, regardless of gender, age, or body type with its simple and streamlined design featuring colors and shapes for easy coordination,” the brand said.
Muji water refilling service
The environmental impact of brands has become a hot topic recently, and Muji wants to do its part to help. Muji will be introducing a water refilling service in its largest store in a bid to curb plastic waste. The brand will also be releasing reusable water bottles (P165) to encourage customers to get water refills instead of buying bottled water.
This service is offered free to customers—whether or not your water bottle is from Muji.
Open Muji
Muji has always centered itself on experience, and its latest concept wants to bring you those experiences firsthand.
According to the brand, “Open Muji is a space where the brand can showcase Muji concepts and house various activities. The Open Muji Area is a platform where the brand can communicate with customers and convey its message. It is also a place where Muji Advisors can conduct workshops that help support the community.”
So you can expect a lot of workshops and events to happen in that space soon.
Price review
The final surprise Muji has for its loyal fanbase is a price review the brand is conducting on its best-selling products. You can expect lower prices for some of its items when the store opens.
“By visiting the production sites and factories of raw materials and sharing knowledge with production partners, MUJI is able to reduce its operational costs and offer its products at better prices. For this price review, MUJI focused on basic everyday items that promote a simple and pleasant lifestyle,which customers can look at and say ‘This is enough,’” the brand said.
