Spam can never be left out of conversations about our favorite canned meat products. This unique savory treat is very easy to cook and goes well with meals at any time of the day—from pandesal for breakfast to rice for lunch and dinner and even in recent food trends like tortilla wraps for snacking.
If you’re a Pasay resident who loves this convenient canned treat, we’ve got good news for you: There’s now a Spam food truck offering different kinds of Spam dishes in your area—specifically, at the SM Mall of Asia.
All meals from the food truck are available only for pickup and takeaway, and range from the sweet and sour rice bowl (P149), to spicy cup noodles and musubi (both for P99). The local pulutan favorite, dynamite—lumpia traditionally stuffed with green chili—also gets its Spam treatment for P99. Snack and dessert lovers can also try Spam waffle sticks (P99) and cheese donuts (P149).
The Spam food truck started its tour around Metro Manila last year, with some of its previous stops being at Uptown Parade in Bonifacio Global City, Eastwood City and Arcovia City in Pasig. It was also used to deliver musubi meals to frontliners through the Spam Gift and Give project. Since it started last year, the food truck has delivered over 12,000 musubi meals.
Right now, the food truck is parked at the front entrance of SM Hypermarket at the SM Mall of Asia and will be there until Jan. 28. You may also call 0966-8566634 for advanced orders and reservations.
