The F&B Report Summit is going beyond trends and innovations this year—and is putting stories at the forefront instead.
Keynote speakers Erwan Heussaff of The Fat Kid Inside, Kiddo Cosio of El Union Coffee, and chef Myke Sarthou will share their personal narratives on the roles of the youth, social media, and education in the F&B industry. As hotel and restaurant consultant Peter Pysk puts it, consumers are “hungry for products with meaning, businesses that share stories about who they are, why they do what they do, and what they stand for.”
Organic farm advocate and the Department of Agriculture’s Undersecretary for the Youth, Elderly, and Indigenous People Berna Romulo-Puyat will return as a panelist together with Real Fresh Farm owner Paco Magsaysay, Malipayon Farms founder Gejo Jimenez, Pamora Farm co-owner Tina Morados, and Seed Core Enterprises founder Rob Crisostomo. Together, these panelists will explore the agricultural industry’s wish to return to products that ‘embody credibility.’
Still in the line of food and beverage is another roster of panelists who are largely dedicated to building a more compassionate industry. Chef Nicco Santos of Your Local and Hey Handsome, corporate chef Kalel Chan from The Raintree Group of Restaurants, The Experience Collective co-founder Isabel Lozano, Sly Samonte from El Union Coffee, and Manila Creamery co-owner Jason Go are all pioneers of food innovation who haven’t lost the reverence for tradition, family, and heritage.
Lastly, dialogues on the current state of hospitality and tourism will be led by Z Hostel owner Andre Mendoza, Marriott Hotel’s general manager Bruce Winton, Enderun Colleges’ chef Suzette Montinola, and The Jeepeney Company Inc. founder and president Clang Garcia, who is best known for her traditional culinary heritage tours.
Catch the F&B Report Summit on Mar. 22, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Samsung Hall, SM Aura Premier. For tickets, you can visit SM Tickets here.
