Oh, Jollibee. I don’t think any other local fast food can replace Filipinos’ affinity with the world-famous Chickenjoy. Crispy, juicy, and spicy—just the thought of these makes our mouth water.
Jollibee had just opened their very first branch in Toronto, Canada, following their opening in Milan. Thousands line up to get their hands on the well-loved fried chicken, as well as other bestsellers like the Jolly spaghetti, palabok, and halo-halo.
It’s estimated that around 300,000 Filipinos live in Ontario, so it makes perfect sense that Jollibee has finally landed in Hogtown. Fans of the food chain lined up as early as 5 a.m., saying that they’re excited to eat their favorite childhood meal again.
