Auro Chocolate continues to make waves, adding another accolade to the country’s chocolate industry by being one of the Top 20 Best Cacao Beans in the World for the Cacao of Excellence Award at the recent Salon Du Chocolat in Paris.
Salon Du Chocolat is the biggest chocolate show in the world, and Auro is the sole representative of the country. For the awarding, Auro brought one of their original farming partners, Jose Sugban, whom they fondly call Mang Jose, to Paris to receive the award.
“When we found out he made it to the Top 50, we were already ecstatic so we decided to bring him to Paris to receive the award in person. [But wow!] Little did we know he would make it to the Top 20 best cacao beans in the world,” Auro Chocolate shares in an Instagram post. “We have no words!
Last year, Auro Chocolate put up shop in Tokyo. Early this year, they bagged gold in the London Academy of Chocolate awards.
